Our great temple
As you walk into the Assyrian temple. You will see in the royal gates sculptures of our god Ashur, as a guardian of the temple.
We Assyrians pray to the fire, because we belive the fire is the most pure energy in the universe. And so, inside the temple, we have a small bonfire, that the priests take care of, everyday for 24 hours, every week, the priests put special wood in the small bonfire so that it won't turn off. This bonfire has been on for 1,000's of years. This tradision of the priest move on from the father to his son.
